How JR Carpentry & Construction handles the personal details you send when you get in touch. Plain and simple — I only hold what I need to reply to you.

This website is a simple brochure site with a way to get in touch. It doesn’t sell anything online, and it doesn’t run any accounts or logins. The only personal information I handle is what you choose to send me when you contact me.

Who I am

I’m Jack Reynolds, trading as JR Carpentry & Construction, a carpenter and builder based in Weston-super-Mare covering North Somerset, Bridgwater, Cheddar and Bristol. I’m the person responsible for the information collected through this site.

You can reach me here:

What I collect

When you fill in the contact form on this site, or message me by WhatsApp, email or phone, I receive the details you decide to send. That usually means your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you tell me about the job you’d like doing.

I don’t ask for anything more than that, and I’d rather you didn’t send sensitive personal information through the form — a quick description of the work is all I need to get back to you.

Why I collect it

I use your details for one thing: to reply to your enquiry, talk through the work, give you a price and, if you’d like me to go ahead, carry out the job. That’s it. I don’t use your information for marketing, and I don’t build any kind of profile on you.

Who I share it with

I don’t sell or pass on your details to anyone for their own use. Messages you send through the form arrive by email, and WhatsApp messages travel through WhatsApp’s own service, so those companies handle the delivery in the ordinary way. Beyond that, your enquiry stays with me.

How long I keep it

If your enquiry doesn’t turn into a job, I’ll delete the message once it’s clear there’s nothing to follow up. If I do carry out work for you, I keep the relevant details for as long as I need them for the job and for my ordinary business and tax records, then remove them when they’re no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it if it’s wrong, or ask me to delete it. Just get in touch using any of the contact details above and I’ll sort it out. There’s no charge for a straightforward request, and I’ll deal with it as soon as I reasonably can.
